another nice supplement is erruption so you knock a person down and they cannot run away so are forced into stay in the area and take damage.

Apparently even with the polls saying people love rangers the most, the basics thread gives warriors the most <3!

Please get your facts straight before you post.

First of all we are talking about warrior primaries here, so energy is a huge concern. Eruption costs 25 energy, which means you need to equip a focus (dequipping your hammer in the process) just to have the energy to cast it once. It also has a 3s cast time, leaving you ripe for disruption, and on top of that you're not attacking for 4 seconds.
On top of that, eruption does not do what you say. Eruption does 5-28 earth damage per second for 5 seconds, causing blindness at the end.
You're probably thinking of Earthquake, another 25 energy spell.

Forget Earthquake and Eruption on a Primary Warrior.

well unfortunately u cant equip focues on a hammer warrior, hammers are 2 handed weapons. if that was what u were talking about.

unless u wanted to switch to like a sword/focus combo, but i dont see the point since both earthquake and eruption are worth it for a primary warrior.

Warrior/Monk can heal mildly

and a Warrior/Mesmer with inspiration and physical resistance is nice.

i personally would go with warrior monk though

if you are going to make a W/Mo in PvP with a competent team, please dont go down the route of using self-healing. making a tank is not what PvP is about. Think more about creating chars centred around damage-dealing. To this end, casting Balthazar's Spirit on yourself and using Strength of Honor on a normal sword warrior will up your damage no end, and if you take a reasonable level of hits, get Judges insight as well so you do even more damage.

hamstring is 2 times the energy amount though.

and sprint can be used outside of battle when you just want to get somewhere fast.

Hamstring helps out your team, sprint helps out just yourself

unless you run a condition build, I find hamstring to be pretty crappy. Sprint is better.

how does hamstring help out your team? "oh yes, now the warriors can swarm this guy!" uhh..

lots of people bring condition removal. if someone runs, he's usually at low health. have them running, do criticals. you want a team? Let the Ranger bring cripple. Much better.

i like hamstring vs monks since they tend to run away, it would deal more damage. i should play with sprint more though.

air elementalist.

Warrior attacks + Conjure Lightning.

And, they are all different. They're pretty balanced in effect. Best to have both hammer and axe/sword in your team.

war/monk or war/ele for highest dps

i found that hammer is best for interupting and sword and axe are better for damage, but interupting is just as important as the damage

Axes and Swords are better overall than hammers. Hammers just have too many drawbacks to be worth it.

Hammers should be treated discriminately until proven otherwise or Arena Net buffs them then? :P I thought that's what you guys did to treat the Necro problem. Go go hammer hate!
